When did this "Dana's fiancee" happen? Is this the first strip about Dana's fiance?

You see, Lyndon?  That's what you get for cheating.  You confuse the very people you're supposed to be catering to.

To everybody else, yes, that's Rune's first appearance.  Ang labo, di ba?

What? Dana found someone in Europe. It's a guy. I can give backup stories but not on the published strips. Maybe online.

Confused? So are the Beerkada.

Dana's getting hitched is like Pebbles getting pregnant. It just happened. And Glen's less interested in explanations as his need to get back to his unpregnant date Racquel.

Who is Rune? He's every guy your female friends get married to. He's the jerk that stupid girls fall for. He's the sensible guy the flighty girls will leave in a couple of years. He's the kind of guy who knocked one of the Conguanco sisters over in the old world. She's doing Penshoppe commericals, then BAM! She's pregnant, and they get married. Do we really want to know the guy's character? Should we care? Aren't there people in our own lives right now who we don't know enough about as it is?

And what about Dana? Dana's the girl who was a big part of our lives back in campus, and now, years later, she's a background character. Everytime we hear from the Danas in our lives, they travelled the world, they marry, they leave one job for another, they get separated. It's like pressing the NEXT button on our DVD remotes. And here's a spoiler: Dana loses her connection with the rest of the gang. All you're left with your personal Dana's are stories from college and obscure updates from people you both know in the past.

Things will happen in our lives, and we won't get any explanations for it. We won't get any closure. And we won't have time to heal or adjust or learn from it, because the next set of events will occur tomorrow. Or an hour from now.

about mr. L's "ranting" (as psychocow puts it)...

it has made me wonder who his Dana is/was. oh well, i guess we'll never know...

i'm not complaining about the strips though.

for some reason, philstar (online) printed the same strip as yesterday. i think they printed an old psychocow strip on the newspaper. contrary to what you guys might think, today's strip was supposed to have been runé's first appearance. in this strip, rune went to the videoke party of the gang where dana introduced him to be her fianceé. i dunno, philstar might have lost the strip or something. this came as a shock to the beerkada gang (and possibly to the readers as well) but unfortunately, it didn't get to be printed. the next 'storyline' is a sort of side story in between the karaoke event earlier and the succeeding/continuation of dana's return.

i think this is the strip you were looking for B. personally, I wanted to see more strips on runé and dana's romance but alas, we'll have to settle for this. i hope L posts the high res strip here.

Oh don't get me wrong. L has every single right to "rant". He can do anything with the strips, for that matter. It's just that, in the years that I've been a Beerkada fan/mascot/critic/flamer, I have never seen L defend a storyline that strongly. It's true; all you guys can check out the old Beerkadets egroup archives, and I dare you to find any post by Lyndon remotely similar to this.

So I'm asking again, what's going on?

ah.. it's just that you haven't been arguing with L on various storylines as much as I have so I'm not surprised with his answer. I do know that he rarely answers these kinds of questions publicly. Don't you think this might be a culmination of L's answers to all applicable questions with regards to his storylines?

Oh, nothing really.  I just say it as I see it.  And the way I see it, I don't like storylines compromised, one way or another.  Get my drift?
