Name your top 5 all-time favorite Pinoy movies of all time!
Me first (in no particular order): - Gangland (Peque Gallaga) - Itim (Mike de Leon) - Manila by Night (Ismael Bernal) - Pedro Penduko 2 (Erik Matti) - Got 2 Believe (Olivia Lamasan)
This list is real. I'm not joking with any of the items, hehehe.
1. Close to You (2006) Cathy Garcia-Molina 2. D'Lucky Ones (2006) - Idol ko si Eugene Domingo 3. Mila (2001) -- Joel Lamangan 4. Shake, Rattle & Roll 2 (1990) -- Ate Jinky's movie 5. Kailanman (1996)
Actually, no. Gusto ko rin ang Pedro Penduko 2. It was very well-made. Yung sa Jologs naman, you should have seen the original script. It was sooooooo good. Another example of Star Cinema canibalizing a script. Sayang...
Frag: Basta, the whole movie was darker. Certainly, di happy ending lahat yung characters. For one thing, yung character ni Onemig, namatay sa pagsabog ng bar. Go figure.

kaya pinanood ko yung himala, nacurious lang ako dun sa dialouge ni nora "walang himala!" at ginamit ko siyang report sa history ko nung college year ko.
It's only since i've met my Jon that i've watched Pinoy Flicks again.
So, the top 5 for me (most recent) would be: 1) Jose Rizal -Cesar Montano - if only they fixed the subtitles so it can be read clearer. white on white kasi yung iba.
2) Crying Ladies - Sharon Cuneta -I really enjoyed this
3) Ako Legal Wife (mano po 4) - Zsa Zsa Padilla - this was hilarious.
4) Once upon a time - Dolphy -this is a classic film that i remember watching when i was a kid and i somehow still like seeing it. quite nostalgic.
5)Halimaw sa banga - this may be the reason why i resolved never to watch horror and suspense films ever again. This was the most horrific movie that i watched as a kid. Seeing big jar containers still gives me the creeps.
1. Manila by Night 2. Obrapronobis 3. Mistah (astig si Rustom dun) 4. Ganito kami noon...paano kayo ngayon? 5. Any Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon comic antics (kahit korni...carry naman nila eh)
"oh, the river is wide, the river it touches my life...like the waves on the sand...and all roads lead to tranquillity base...where the frown on my face disappears..."
deym, di ko pa pala napapanood ung rizal ni cesar montano... tsktsk. i don't think i've been alive long enough to have seen the classics, but here's my list:
1. la visa loca - for a robin padilla movie, it made so much sense. real funny too. 2. bayaning third world - ricky davao is love. 3. crying ladies - excellent drama / comedy. 4. muro ami - here's a cesar montano film i love. 5. magnifico - affected me in so many ways.

that's sooo sad. you really should see it. Cesar is totally awesome.watch panaghoy too.
hindi ko alam yung mga directors nung iba:
Kakabakaba ka ba?- it's an old film starring christopher deleon, sandy andulong, charo santos, johnny delgado. it's super profound and funny at the same time.
kung-fu hustle- Stephen Chow
Jose Rizal- Marilou Diaz-Abaya
Spirited Away- Hayao Miyazaki
Got 2 bliv- Rico! waahhh!

i think kung-fu hustle is not a pinoy film. pasensya na kung nag-react ako.

Not all of them, trust me. Sorry to say, a lot of them suck. Hey, I'm all for the indies being successful, but if some of them can't put up...
