Remember PBX (Pugad Baboy 10)? That big-ass coffee table book PM Junior released as the tenth Pugad baboy compilation? L and I have been debating whether it's feasible to make a compilation just like that. Of course I'd love to see a definitive Beerkada book, the granddaddy of all compilations! I think it would be awesome! L, on the other hand, is not sure if anybody would buy it. He feels that anything priced beyond the books (meaning, P150) is too expensive for college students. I'm forced to agree, but still...
That's why I'm throwing the question to you guys. Would you buy a lexicon-type Beerkada compilation if it was priced somewhere between P250-P400? Think of what you'd be getting!

I need to clarify that there are no serious, tangible plans for the book just yet. Usapang inuman pa lang lahat 'to, as far as I'm concerned. And yeah, this compilation (if it will ever be done) will probably see the light of day in a few years pa.
Basically, we need to know if this project would be viable enough to do. No point in printing a book of that scope if nobody will buy it. Call this basic research for now.
Psychocow: Usapang Inuman? I'm sure more ideas will come if that will be "Usapang kainan". Hehehehehe....
Okay, feasible yun, personally i'll buy it. Pero, tignan muna kung mapapababa ang presyo. I understand the expenses of publishing a compilation like that. It must be a win-win situation at this point. You will earn and at the same time, costumers, beerakda followers are happy.

what would be seen in the book? would it be like an artbook (a collection of different pin-up style pages)? would it be just a compilation of all or selected strips from the previous 6 books? would it be all new strips? would it be like a sequential comic book? (that would be cool)

yep! But it better be a good copy, the one that's in National Bookstore for the PB 10 compilation is not worth the P350+ that I paid for. It's basically a reprint with missing pages and it's so CRAPPY. If only my original one doesn't looked so bad, I wouldn't buy a new copy.

Syeri: Sorry, this is a late reply (duh). Have you seen Dilbert's "Seven Years of Highly Defective People"? That's my basis on how the BoB (Best of Beerkada) book should be.
To explain further, Scott Adams basically explained the process behind Dilbert, and he went further in characterizing each character (huh?), and explaining why he created those characters. Then some comic strips on that character follows. We can always go further than that.
Anyway, as I said before, it's still just the Beer talking. No concrete plans. Right now, my main concern is to get the website up and running.
