The logic also escapes me. Why put such awfully dubbed anime on Animax? Then again, Animax's dubbers are not the best in the business. They have defiled so much more and so much worse.

can we actually give filipino anime dubbers the (honorable) title "seiyuu"?

Wala pang talagang matatawag na seiyuu sa Pilipinas, kahit 'yung mga hyped-up na dubbers sa GMA at HERO....

. Ano nga ba ang requirement para matawag na tunay na seiyuu ang dubber?

I think the term 'seiyuu' only applies to the Japanese, who take pride in their craft of voicing animated characters. Not saying that our dubbers are not into their chosen field, pero they have yet to show dedication to their craft. :(

I heard a very disturbing news from Oliver. Seems Starstruck alumni will be voicing the Bleach anime on Channel 7.

And Marky Cielo would be Kurosaki Ichigo's voice.

yung ibang anime (like HagaRen and Kyou kara maou) maganda yung pagkakadub. why can't we produce stuff like that?

Felicia, if we are to produce great dubbing, it should be done with people who love anime and of great talent. Karamihan ng boses na naririnig ko sa locally dubbed anime ay masakit sa tenga. Literally.

Puro naman kasi celebrities ang ginagamit na dubbers ngayon. Siguro para magkaroon ng star qualiyt ang anime... Pero kung titingnan ang Voltes V sa HERO, parang nawala 'yung drama at emosyon sa characters.

Or siguro nasanay lang ako sa Inggles na Voltes V.

hindi. pangit talaga boses nila sandara at dennis trillo!

dapat talaga maset ang line between acting and being a voice talent. kasi pagnagdudub ka, hindi naman nadadala ng pagpapacute ang eksena. you really have to have talent. and sandara (and most teeny boppers today) lacks that.

Filipino dubbers suck, I remeber when Abs took Samurai X form studio 23 grabe I was totally pissed off. Sana iniwan na lang nila sa Studio 23 pero ngayon dinadub na rin sa tagalog mga anime sa 23.

I have yet a copy of that series...Vampire Hunter D. Pero, try 2Rats (mahal nga lang) and the source of champions...Quiapo. XD Last time I checked, may bagsakan ng anime titles sa Quiapo pero I don't know if you condone piracy.

I also have Vampire Hunter D (2 versions) unfortunately, I could lend it only for a day or so, lagi kasing hinahanap nang sisters ko ito.

If you know where to look, hindi H ang ibibigay sayo.

Then again, I am very doubtful with Quiapo vendors knowing their anime titles.

I just finished watching and hindi ko alam kung masasayahan ba ako sa ending o malulungkot. I've read somewhere na mas maganda daw yung manga. Totoo ba????

I think it's best if you go check it yourself. I am not satisfied with most animes that I tend to read the manga afterwards. Try it.

I've watched Spiral, and yes, I felt lost also. Same with Elfen Lied. I'm mostly for watching Anime than reading manga, except if it's the continuation like Naruto, Flame of Recca and Slam Dunk.

@ Tenk: I forgot to check, I think wala pa siyang 10 dvd's ata.
