I have only seen the making of GITS Innocence on the WOWOW channel a few months back.  It had a lot of hooplah back then because the GITS anime is such a big thing in Japan.  If I'm not mistaken, I believe it's the prequel of the GITS movie and series.

I watched the first movie of the Ghost In The Shell back in high school.  My eyes were like O.o because I never really understood the whole story.  My brother on the other hand kept on blabbering about it excitedly. Never really understood it until now but it still one of the best animes I have watched.

The GITS figurines are pretty big in Japan.

I did. That's the reason why I'm trying GITS. Couldn't understand what was going on in Innocence half the time.

Believe it or not, pinapanood sa amin ang 1st movie ng GITS sa Philo class namin. Kasabay ng The Matrix, siyempre, kasi walang mahilig sa anime sa klase ko. Those lowlife scum.

Nice for this forum to have this thread. Ghost in the Shell? That series is pretty big in Japan. I'm gonna grab a copy of it when my December money comes.

Saka, is anybody familiar with Deathnote? It's a manga-turned-anime (like any usual anime series) pero hindi pa tapos. BUT! May 2 Live action films na based on the manga and I am awaiting it's release here in the country (for I still can't find any DVD-copy of it in the streets ). I heard it's very good and based on the trailers I've seen, it really is.

Will do but I'm still in my Initial D mode.  Maybe when I'm over that and my best friend has the succeeding volumes.

I agree. There are just some cartoons that are definitely not to be dubbed in Tagalog. Hehe, I'm watching season 2 of the Slayers, its  in English and I liked it more than the QTV version.

@Mello: Knock Out is one of the few animes dubbed in Filipino that has passed my standards.  maybe it's because I saw it the dubbed version first. 

There is a lot of anime murdered by Filipino dubbers.  Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing and Gensoumaden Saiyuki.  I just hope GMA 7 won't murder Bleach.  I heard they'll be showing it in January and Yasmien Kurdi is one of the dubbers. 

Yasmien Kurdi? No disrespect to her, but I just don't like her voice. Let alone dub Bleach. Then again, I am not a big Bleach fan. It's too cheesy..but the action is good.
