kapuso sa bahay namin so i cant say much about the shows sa kapamilya (i didnt even get to watch lovers in paris, or any other). nwei, im watched several myself :) i try no to watch a series that i wont be able to regularly watch. it's just frustrating.

current obsession: jewel in the palace. i've read the episode summary online. before that, there was Full house (i bought a dvd set), attic cat, irene, sweet 18, sassy girl chun hyang, mvp valentine (rented the whole vcd set before).. ah tska pati yung kay cholo at jody,.. stairway to heaven! basta yun yung mga natatandaan ko sa ngayon.. i didnt particulary like heavy drama (except for stairway). i prefer comedies. yung different seasons, yung may winter sonata, and autumn ek ek.. masyado malungkot for me.. hehe..

how could i forget, meteor garden! but i didnt watch the 2nd na. ;)

Kapamilya ako.

Maganda ang Jewel in the Palace medyo nakakatawa ung storyline kasi napaka simple. ung tipong pagpapakulo ng tubig, paggamit ng asin, etc ay big deal na sa kanila. para kang nanood ng "wok with yan". No offense ha. pero catchy sya.

Sa drama naman.
Save your last dance for me - eto naantig ako d2.

Only You - maganda rin ito (kapamilya), medyo from start ng series eh nag jump agad to 6 years after. medyo may maturity ung characters kahit ung gumanap eh ung si chun hyang ng sassy girl (kapuso).

Looking forward ako sa. Forbidden Love -- Love story sya na may halong martial arts/gangster eklat. parang ganun.

Oo, I remember pumunta ako nun sa Malaysia for a seminar. Yung mga kaklase kong Malaysian and yung mga taga-Brunei, tinatanong yung Saan Ka Man Naroroon ba yun tsaka yun ngang Pangako sa yo, etc. tsaka si Claudine Barretto tsaka yung iba pang telenovelas natin.

after watching a lot of Asian dramas, i have finally seen the pattern (which is not far from the pinoy drama stereotypes):

>The 4 major characters: the boy and girl who are in love, and the guy and girl who tries to seperate them.
>There's the usual rich boy, poor girl situation (and vice versa).
>So often, if not always, Business is a big factor of a story. like...who will take over the company when the big boss has retired or died?
>There's the separated siblings from birth or sometime during their childhood.

and there's more...I'm sure. They have the kung fu moves and cool looking dudes.
We have the unending crying and kidnapping scenes.

nevertheless, once you start watching a particular Asian drama, you eventually get hooked on watching.

It's not really just with Koreans... kahit naman sa Japanese dramas and animes ganun eh, not to mention Taiwanese people pa.  I think it's practical to carry somebody sa likod mo...

thanks again to LORIE for the JitP set.. whee.. just finished up to CD19 last weekend.. hehehe...
