It was more of a youth program of the church...it's like the baton was now passed on us...we have 4 groups, each group has its leader; i'm one of those leaders. we have back up leaders to assist us.  It's been going on for about 20 years.  Of course, new leaders will arise when the youth leaders get married....i think you got the idea.

Yeah, but now it's getting better.  Because of that though, it's becoming competitive.  That's why last year, i have this image of not being a good leader because our group placed last on two major contests.

What? why would you say that?

I think that's stupid, dahil lang nag-place kayo ng last hindi ka na good leader?

Being a good leader is not just based on that.

Kaya nga eh...oh well, i'm still 100%...being a phlegmatic guy makes me cool despite those sarcasm...with or without competition...the teenagers must strive to win, but must be taught to accept defeat and not be sarcastic on the loser...that's sportsmanship 101.

On the topic: being a youth leader will teach you to save money....and teach it to others...imagine this...one time, 40 youth members ate at my last year's birthday with a P1200 budget....may pansit na naka styro (with fork at tissue), tetra pak juices, and egg sandwich...limited ang budget lagi eh....kasi when they think of church...you know what i mean

I learned to budget my money when I was already in High School. Daily ang bigay sa'kin ng pocket money hindi weekly or monthly and hindi rin ako hatid sundo, I have to commute and buy my snack and lunch in the canteen. Pero natuto ako talaga ng todo nung college, todo budgeting talaga.

*sigh* So many things to buy... so little budget

"To spend or not to spend...that is the problem" -- more than "To spend or not to spend...", I think the problem is "What to spend" -- Haaay, wala akong pera!!!

I don't know about you guys, but I certainly can relate to the "quote" (?) on the Beerkada button pin that I bought: "I am having an out of money experience"

It sure was well worth it!

Not to spend ako.

When I was in highschool up until 3rd year college, I spend almost 15k for online games in rental shops. If I didn't play for all those years, I should have bought a PSP.

Today I'm saving money for my life expenses and for gaming consoles.
