Uh... Pag-iisipan ko pa. Puro english english at American culture nasa utak ko ngayon... Hmm.... That means I can actually unleash my dark bitchy side...

The person (I will consider that abomination as a person.. because I'm a peaceful person) who wrote that stuff is probably a misguided lunatic. Who probably doesn't grasp the concept of supporting FILIPINO WORKS, that are 1. CLEAN and WHOLESOME per se, 2. WOULD MAKE YOU LAUGH, 3. ORIGINAL and that the person behind it is down to earth. Ndi gaya nung iba jan.. *** crap.

this is what i've been waiting for! just (half) kiddin. i know na may manners ang beerkadets, kahit na sila wala. pero its nice to hear na beerkadets wont tolerate beerkada bashers, na may magtatanggol sa beerkada kung kinakailangan.

been taking life too seriously na naman, so thought i'd drop by muna. saka na lang ulit ako magka-cramming sa pagbasa ng sangkatutak na posts... ganun naman ang beerkada eh, helps one relax.

Well this post certainly got my attention.

I think lalabas na yung 5th... you can read his strips at Philippine Star... -->pero ang tagal na ng mga posts na ito. 2004 pa. LOL..
Lyndon is a simple guy....i can also relate to his strip.
"oh, the river is wide, the river it touches my life...like the waves on the sand...and all roads lead to tranquillity base...where the frown on my face disappears..."
That Angelus person is entitled to his own opinion, but hey, his opinion shows his attitude, right?
I don't want to conclude that deduction i made.
Comic strip doesn't need to be VERY funny...it's main objective is to voice out what the comic strip artist feels (example, in government, academic institution.). Humor will just follow.
i suggest that we let them blurt out things. Not fight back. The best way to beat an argument is not to argue. Getting even with that Angelus guy is not worth our energy.
Still though, i don't like the way that character (Angelus) expresses. Pugad Baboy has a different market...and so does Beerkada.
"oh, the river is wide, the river it touches my life...like the waves on the sand...and all roads lead to tranquillity base...where the frown on my face disappears..."
yes everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion.
ang naisip ko lang kung bakit nasabi nya yun is because hindi sya makarelate sa humor na ini-express ng beerkada. what does beerkada represent? for me it represents fun, friendship and freedom.
that person just doesn't get it. tsk-tsk-tsk...

ongapala... i also like pugad baboy and am trying to collect all comic books. i think both artists are great. (but no argument, lyndon is by far handsomer than pol. oooppsss...) their works are great. they're unique in their own ways pero personally, mas malapit sa puso ko ang beerkada. pugad baboy has been around for a while and i appreciate its satire. may napupulot ring insights tungkol sa iba't ibang issues. beerkada is, well, about beerkada. and like i mentioned above, for me it represents fun, friendship and freedom. may insights din syempre. and the best thing about it, the characters. they're like some people i know. love them , simply love 'em...

You are right...in fact, before i start to collect Beerkada, i used to collect Pugad Baboy, kaya lang, hinihiram ni Kuya, na hinihiram naman ng mga kaklase niya...then, pag solian na, ako ang ipanghaharap...what a way to avoid negative image.
On the topic: Like i said, let's leave them...you are right when you said that both artists are great.
"oh, the river is wide, the river it touches my life...like the waves on the sand...and all roads lead to tranquillity base...where the frown on my face disappears..."
im glad that the forum members here are a lot more understanding.. we always try to promote all filipino comic books.. we're happy you support pugadbaboy.. i hope you also support the rest of the artistsden.. carpool by syeri baet, class & westside by ariel atienza, fiftypesoninja by lico, minsan by jon zamar, ninth dimension (ika-9) by joanna.. and the latest comic books to hit the market: divine comedy by steven pabalinas and mikrokosmos by jomike tejido.. please do continue to support filipino comics! (there are lots more but these are the ones fromthe top of my head..)
"they can try but they can't take that away from me"
sigh. may mga taong ganun talaga no? mga taong di maka-appreciate ng dekalidad na humor. siguro, hanggang pugad baboy lang talaga kaya nyang i-appreciate. not that pugad baboy is not good. i mean, it's been around for so long, it's an institusyon. but yun nga, it's old na. mas fresh and young ang beerkada.

i also started collecting pugad baboy.. but you know.. satire nga lang siya.. they tackle issues both social and political issues.. Beerkada naman yung mga common issues lang.. kumbaga.. hindi ganun kabigat sa mga readers.. well.. we just tackle school problems... thesis... lovelife... being torpe... i think that's more funny....
