I saw the trailer of The Tokyo Drift...Bow wow is different now...pero parang "napa-hi-tech ata to the next level"...siguro kasi Japan...atsaka talagang panonoorin para ma-judge ko kung ok.

ako naman late bloomer pag dating sa mga ganyan. Homeboy ako eh...eh i need everyday references when i do my graduate studies...so i watch films, but not as prolific as the others.

Since we're plugging Cinemalaya films, I invite all of you to see the works of my friends as well: “Ang Huling Araw ng Linggo” by Nick Joseph Olanka, and "Lima, Ang Kakaibang Triangulo” by Arah Badayos. Thanks.

Oh yeah. That city. Everybody got a good chuckle out of that.
I loved the movie. It was a complete nostalgia trip for me, because I remember watching Superman 3 and 4 in the theater pa. I remember being overwhelmed by everything this superhero could do. I saw Superman 1, 2, and 3 on cable over the past month. The first thing that hit me was the ridiculous storylines and cheesy dialogues. I can't believe I actually enjoyed this.
Still... there's a weird charm about the whole series. Watching Superman Returns kinda brought me back in time, so to speak. Seeing him in costume, hearing that distinct orchestration, seeing bullets bounce off him... priceless.
My only gripe about this film is best summed up by my brother: "Putsa, naging chick flick ang Superman!" He's right. It's not necessarily a bad thing (at least for me), but if you're looking for all those high-impact fight scenes, you won't find it here. Come to think of it, the Superman series of films really never had gratatious fight scenes, so we're really not missing anything. All in all, a very satisfying film.
saw it last saturday. galing. may plot holes sabi ng pinsan ko (which i didn't notice til he pointed it out), but then so what. it was still SUPER. and having an actor na super guwapo isn't such a bad thing.
