Foodless Resto and other boo-boos

I told this story to Najanaja, who suggested I post it here. Maybe L could somehow get inspiration for the strip with this um, incident. Anyway.....

I was in Bontoc, Mountain Province for a news coverage with my girlfriend Mitch, an ad agent for a local nespaper I'm working for. That Saturday afternoon, I decided to have pinikpikan for dinner.

Anyway, we searched around the town proper to look for pinikpikan, where we met up with apologetic resto owners, drunks, and residents who looked at us as if we were tourists. We ended up in this specific restaurant where the worst happened....

Mitch: Manang, may pinikpikan kayo? (in the local dialect)

Resto owner: Wala.

Tenkouken: May ulam pa ba kayo?

RO: Wala.

Mitch: May makakain ba dito?

RO: Wala.

In any case, iniwan namin ang wakwentang restaurant, and as Mitch would put it, "sana nagsara na lang sila."

Anyway, I don't think pasara na sila (on that aspect), malakas kasi ang restaurant business sa Bontoc.

More boo-boos coming soon....

Round 2....

Which somewhat brings me to my comic strip idea.... Something involving hot springs and cannibal resort owners and hard-boiled eggs....
