Lahat na nga ng may pamasahe tumaas na.. from pedicab to Bus to Shuttle. thank goodness hindi tumaas ung railways transportations natin. Un na nga ung means of transportation ko. hindi na ko nag shu-shuttle. dati ung pamasahe from Poveda to Eastwood City is Php25.. naging Php30 na! ibang lebel. hehehe.. I get it na tumaas na ung jeep and the buses kasi nga tumataas na ung gasolina.. Domino effect.
Un lang.. sana dagdagan nila din ung trains.. and sana gumawa naman sila ng railways sa C5 and other busy streets or some where.. Less pa ata ung pollution if we use trains dba?
I don't like air conditioned jeepneys sa Makati. I love jeepneys just the way they are. CFC eh!! tapos kung minsan pa kala ng driver roller coaster ung minamaneho nya. and I think they ask for extra fair, tama ba?

I'd take it you've ridden a jeep from Buendia to Guadalupe. The ride up and down the EDSA-Buendia flyover is a thrill-ride. Especially kung naka-sabit ka

There are plans of expanding the LRT (ung sa Santolan) up to Cogeo daw, which I really wish na sana totoo nga. Pagtaas ng gasolina also means tataas din ulet bilihin sa palengke, sunud sunod na talaga yan, domino effect to the max. OK sana ung aircon na shuttle kung ayos din ung aircon, ung talagang alaga din ng driver, minsan me nasakyan ako shuttle na ang hina ng aircon I actually tried to keep myself from barfing sa sobrang init sa sasakyan hanggang narating ko na ung Robinson's Galleria. @.@;;
I bet the aircon was the shuttle conductor blowing in your face judging from your reaction.
It is amazing that even if MRT Trains are over-loaded, there have been no major accidents taking place. Salamat sa Diyos.
One way to decongest the MRT would be to deploy trains that will go from North Ave to Taft and vice versa non-stop. where riders would be charged extra.
That would free space on the other trains for those who only want to go to Ayala, Cubao or other stops along the way.

@chard. yep. kasi they cant or rather not allowed to pick up pasengers after they "delivered" their clients. so i believe were paying for a two way trip.
-@easty
- new formula of freon.. i think its freon 22. lesser pollution and no CFC content. airconditioners arent that bad.cant live w/o em..kahit cguro sa jeepney, it would be nice to have one ACU
last friday night grabe ang baha. badtrip. lumubog ang dela rosa, buendia, and some part of pasong tamo. infront of walter mart emerge the makati lake.
I'm actually more afraid of taxidrivers in cahoots witth holdapers.
I heard a report on the radio where a Call Center TL on the way to work has boxed by guys who jumped into her cab drove to a place and tried to take away her belongings. She reportedly resisted and died. Her body was found in Brgy Pinyahan.
Whenever I take cab late at night unaccompanied, I make sure to ride shotgun and all other doors in the cab are locked.

When I have to text someone, I try to stay sa side ng driver or malapit sa kanya so my cellphone won't be snatched away, and I only rarely do that too.
Something to do with the scenery viewing I guess?
Doubt it. I am thinking it's because Filipinos think the choiciest spot in any for of Public transit whether it be the Jeep, Bus or the MRT would be the one closest the door. It is a massive inconvenience to have to get past other inert commuters even if you board the MRT in North Ave and debark in Taft.
Let us now move to the touchy issue of Trikes along Katipunan. If UP Diliman have their Ikots and Tokis, Ateneo and Miriam have tricycles to go around the campus on.
In my years in Ateneo (CoUGH couGH), for any commuter, trikes are the cheapest and fastest means of transport within the campus. Unlike UP, which has 4 lanes of roadway on major areas of the Campus, its Jesuit-run neighbor only has 2 on Fr Masterson Drive linking all parts of the Campus making jeepneys impractical as it is already choked early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
Walking from Aurora Blvd to let's say the GS or HS campus or any where in the Loyola Schools (read: college campus) is doable. However, if you are in hurry not to be late to a 7 am class or not be caught dead on campus sweaty.
Trikes may cause traffic on a road choked with cars, taxis, school buses and trucks. Their 2-stroke engines may pollute the air and disrupt classes. However, there is no other way for commuters to get around within campus unless you bloody walk.

hot dang.. I missed commuting in Pinas. Anyway, I only have one rant against these infernal drivers: Those Orange Juice Branded Mothers have the gall to continue hiking their fares when the prices of gas has gone back by 8.00 pesos.
as passengers, do we have the right to tell the taxi driver to change the station? if he wants an extra fare for the service, should we just play our mp3s very loud in competition?
Such attempts at humor are what keeps those drivers awake and sane unfortunately for us.
AM radio news on DZMM, DZRH, DZBB or DWIZ used to be a cabbie favorite. However, with the way the news in this country is going it becomes a major stressor.
I like it though when drivers tune in 90.7 for Papa Jack's show where callers bare their most lurid encounters much like FHM True Stories. The GP version for such crap would have to be Dr Love on DZMM where a Dominican lay brother offers relationship advise.
Lucky for me last night, the driver of the cab I rode home had good taste: he was tuned to NU107.
If ever I will need to bring out my MP3 player it would be if the cabbie's choice of radio programming would be the religious kind

It actually depends din kasi, if you know where you're going and insist na un kunin nyo na road, well and good.
Here in Antipolo, tricycle prices went up by 3 pesos and most trike drivers here are rude. They hoot on girls theylike and argue with the customer. Their a bunch of @$$holes.
walang dagdag na pamasahe yung mga yellow cabs and they issue receipts afterwards.I've tried when i fetch my sisters at NAIA Terminal 3.Ang kaso,P70 ang initial rate then P2.50 added to each meter costs.I found the drivers very friendly though at hindi ka iwawala in middle of Metro Manila.
