I forgot to mention in my previous post that this rarely happens. Most of the time wala namam talagang problem regarless of the parents' blood types.

parang if ever may makalusot n foreign blood ng baby dun sa circulation ng mother e tska pa lang mgkakaron ng development ng antibody for it (thus hemolysis or destruction of rbc will ensure..) and kung may another conception (hindi c kc or gaby) dun pa lang magstart ang invasion ng antibodies na nadeveloped which will result in the hemolytic process

This is known as ABO hemolytic disease of the newborn.

So this is what happened to my cousin's new baby. He was released from the hospital only recently, weeks after he was born.

Another Q: what exactly happens to the human body when a person dies? sa naghihingalo, ano yung first & last na nagsa-shut down?

actually, medicaly when we speak of death it's usually on a cellular level. maraming biochemical reactions that occur. on a dying person, these would manifest depending on the organ system involved, for example heart attack, what happens is heart muscles die because of several possible reasons, but the end result is it cannot pump blood to the other parts of the body and since they do not receive much needed oxygen, they do not function as well.

I'm not really sure what is the last one to shut down, pero for legal purposes, one is clinically dead if there are no more discernable lectrical brain activity. Sorry, this is out of my league na kasi.

every morning kasi para sinisikmura ako. at first, akala ko okay lang. pero napapadalas na halos. yung kapag nagburp ka ang hapdi sa tiyan at lalamunan. then ang asim ng panlasa mo. then, nasusuka.

dahil po ba sa kape ito? di na ako nainom ng softdrinks at less chips na rin ako. iisipin ko pa bang hyper-acidity-every-morning to?

sayang kasi magpaconsult sa doctor, kung maagapan kagad, why not?

also may "pigsa" ang kapatid ko, nakakahawa ba ito?

@s2chard: based on the symptoms you described it could be a case of acute gastritis, hyperacidity or gastroesophageal reflux disease. All are relatively benign and can be treated with medications but it would be best to see a doctor first so that he/she can do a complete and thorough physical exam.

"pigsa" can be small (furuncles) or big (carbuncles) and are best treated with a short dose of antibiotics. close contact with the infected wound and poor hygiene can, although rarely, cause infection with other people.

@roachy: thanks for the sound advise.

@bowen: actually, even though rare ang blood type AB it is the universal recipient, meaning you can receive blood of any blood type (after proper cross matching) in cases of emergencies. Hindi ka naman siguro AB(-)? if ever, it is best to register with the red cross because it being oneof the rarest blood types, they actually have a list of people with that particular type just in case. Hindi naman kailangan na may "deposit" ka, but it is a noble thing to do. Used to do it regularly but now haven't donated na rin for 2 years. maybe this year.

sa mga hydrocephalus (ano tamang spelling?) cases, or even down syndrome, what exactly is happening to their skulls? i'm just writing down terms i'm familiar with.

recently kasi, i touched the head of a 58yr old woman who has the mental capacity of a child. yung right side, parang malambot. if you put your palm right behind the ear, eto yung portion na malambot. not sure if that has anything to do with her case.

ang pagkkaalala ko sa case ng mga may hydrocephalus e ang cause eh either trauma, stroke, infection or tumor...kaya ngkkaron ng paglaki nun e may mga csf (cerebrospinal fluid) na naipon sa spaces ng brain...

sad thing kung mangyari sa mga infant kasi prone sila to have mental retardation kasi mccrush ng excessive fluids ang brain..and since di pa masyado fused together ang skull nila ang outcome ay yung pagkkaroon ng malaking head..

Anencephaly yung wala or incompletely formed yung skull at missing din yung brain and spinal cord. Its almost always fatal.

Hydrocephalus on the other hand is an abnormal expansion of cavities (ventricles) within the brain that is caused by the accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid. In other words, there is an increase in pressure but no increase in volume. solid skull, soft brain. Maybe she (the 58 y/o woman) had hydrocephalus and a part of the skull removed to relieve the pressure. Of course I'm just speculating here.

I don't suggest meds immeditely. Try changing your daily patterns, could be messing up with your body's natural sleep wake patterns.
