even your lunch money goes to internet usage. you eat your meals in front of the computer, or miss eating altogether. go to the internet for everything e.g. google search a company even if the headquarter's within walking distance from your place.

@polskie: Thanks for clearing that up. Inever really did believe the installation guys when they placed it at home. By the way, we have Digitel, the same company that caters Sun Cellular. I won't claim to be a techie kind of guy 9'coz I'm not) but I surely had my doubts when he said our DSL speed to be 512 mbps.
i think your addicted to the internet if first thing you do upon waking up in the morning is to open your pc and surf the net... or kung inaabot ka ng wee hours going online..

You actually know what "All your Base are belong to Us" is all about
You have completed 35 seasons of your favorite TV series without turning on your TV or buying a DVD. Oh, and it only takes you two weeks to do it too

Partly guilty. I've played Zero Wing.
Here are some symptoms I know:
You scour for the rarest anime, OSTs, manga, or show episodes, and ACTUALLY find them. You read through Japanese/Chinese/Arabian text just to find something and you actually know what you're reading. You know about every single Internet meme existing, i.e. DO NOT WANT.

Internet addiction disorder (IAD) is a hypothetical disorder originally made as a satirical hoax by Ivan Goldberg, M.D., in 1995. He took pathological gambling as diagnosed by the DSM-IV as his model for the spoofed description.
Although IAD was meant to be a hoax, it is promoted as a real condition by some supporters. Supporters often divide IAD into subtypes by activity, such as pornography, overwhelming and immoderate gaming, inappropriate involvement in online social networking sites or blogging, and Internet shopping addiction. Activities which, if done in person, would normally be considered troublesome, such as compulsive gambling or shopping, are sometimes called net compulsions. Others, such as reading or playing computer games, are troubling only to the extent that these activities interfere with normal life.
Problematic computer use or pathological computer use are accepted descriptions for excessive computer use that interferes with daily life. These terms avoid the distracting and divisive term addiction and are not limited to any single cause.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @roachy: if you ask me from a medical point of view, it's really when things get out of hand or when things actually distract you from the real world and your activities of daily living that it will pose as a problem.
I remember when I wa still in med school, I got addicted with playing Diablo II from night 'til sunrise that my studies got affected. I stopped the moment I realized what was going on.
Right now I go online as soon as I get home from work, but while in the office, offline ako. People interaction is a big part of what I do on a daily basis.
Pero in your case, boredom nga lang siguro yan.
