Let's get this rolling.

I have in my collection (aside from all the Beerkada books), Arnold Arre's Mythology Class, After Eden, and Andong Agimat, Carlos Vergara's ZsaZsa Zaturnnah, Manix Abrerra's three Kiko Machine compilations, Syeri Baet's two Carpool compilations, Gerry Alanguilan's Elmer (#1 - #3, still waiting for #4), Fully Booked's Expeditions comic compilation, the Lastikman single release by Alanguilan and Arre, and #1 of the Darna mini-series.

Weirdly enough, I only have the #6 Pugad Baboy compilation. I used to own #1 to that huge #10, but a bad combination of lending, stealing, and poor regard for personal stuff wiped that out.  However, I do have a bit of PB gold in my collection: the Polgas graphic novel, first edition (big glossy pages, full-colored), in good condition.

Personal favorites? I'm a huge Arre fan. Nuff said.

i used to collect spider man comics (pinapadalhan ako frm US)

my girlfriend and i cut out garfield strips, she loves the cat

bought mr manix's kiko machine, the 2nd one, pugad baboy 8(its kinda complicated so i didnt pursue it)

oh... is funny comics valid?

got loads of them back then.

its every wednesday, then turn friday, then turn saturday.

oh...my childhood

There is actually one comic strip i used to like when i was a kid,it's called D.I.C.E. it's not anime but a local superhero genre that ran through the pages of Manila Bulletin.It means Dyno-Idustrial Cybernetic Entity and his nemesis,Toymaster.Hindi alam kung sinong author ang gumawa but i enjoyed it a lot and....loads of the late Larry Alcala's strip.

hey i got trese: murder on balete drive too ive been following it online also

i also collect pugad baboy from the best of pugad baboy, pugad baboy 1-19 even the sunday comics edition bigbook all strips colored. nice.

i have manix abrera's kiko machine komix 1-4 biggrin.gif didn't know he was at toycon i failed to brought my copies for him to sign...

i got carpool 1 by ms. syeri baet... wala na ko mahanap na book 2...darn

 i had a collection of Culture Crash.Ang kulang ko yung #5.2.I wish i brought my #5 issue last toycon,it was Alodia Gosenfiao's first appearance in print.Any ideas kung anong nangyari sa kanila?Hanggang issue #15 lang kasi nag-stop sila.

Ever since the untimely discontinue of the Culture Crash Comics which sprouted rumors when the group did not held a C3Con convention in 2004, the group announced both in their website, Taga Ilogs Blog and mailing group that they will be ceasing production due to lack of financial support

James Palabay James Palabay (Da Bhoss) Writer / Creator of ODID is currently running a game development company and is involved in helping other self publishers.

Jio Beltran Creator / Artist of Solstice Butterfly is currently employed by GMA's New Media department. He has expressed intent to continue Solstice Butterfly someday. Others like Jon Zamar, Elmer Damaso and Taga Ilog worked under the wing of Seven Seas Entertainment which features manga like Destiny's Hand and Boogiepop. Ryan Orosco is with the Darna staff helping out with their artwork after the revival of the Mars Revalo series and its boom on both the comic and TV version. Melvin Calingo also worked for other animation projects like the short film Blind Beauty (2005). He also draw the Ragnarok comics in one of the daily newspapers in the Philippines and do illustrations in the K-Zone magazine.

So that's what happened to culture crash. Sayang. update ko na rin pala yung listahan ko:

Funny Komiks - used to buy them as a kid. Inabutan ko pa Force 1 Animax at Combatron

Pugad Baboy (including Polgas Comics and Ink and Politics) by Pol Medina Jr. - missing several books "borrowed" by former classmates, friends and cousins

Siglo:Freedom and Siglo:Passion grafiction anthology books

Cast by Jamie Bautista - complete save for the last issue (12) not yet out in the market

Mythology Class, After Eden and Ang mundo Ni Andong Agimat by Arnold Arre - missing from my collection is Trip To Tagaytay

Private Iris by Jamie Bautista and Arnold Arre - it's for kids actually but could't resist not buying

Kiko Machine 1-4 by Manix Abrera - hindi ko rin napa autograph nung toycon

Ang Kagilagilalas na Pakikipagsapalran ni Zsazsa Zatrunah  by Carlo Vergara  - currently on loan to friends

Elmer #1 by Gerry Alanguilan - can't find the other 3 books

kasama na rin pala dito yung other daily strips sa Inquirer at Phil Star

(ibang thread na lang siguro yung foreign comic books smile )

@ roachy : Loads of thanks.I knew it that they're in crisis.I collect also KZone and Elmer Damaso's art appears on Philippine Daily Inquirer's Sunday funnies.Ang daming sumulpot na local indie comics in the 90s which i manage to get some but getting financial support is still a big gamble of publishing comics.Is anyone here who collects Carlo J. Caparas' komiks?IMO,it's doesn't seem right in all places...

nearest national bookstore branch from my place is the one in harrison plaza, malate. may copy pa sila ng bff dun.

pa-reserve ka na lang siguro sa nookstore, or just order from Lyndon para may instant caricature and signature na agad.
