Seriously, I'm not too impressed with Chateau 1771. I mean, the food's okay, but not overwhelming. And I can imagine what your bill must have been like, after ordering wagyu ribeye.
I'll throw in three. One fancy resto, two not-so fancy. I highly recommend all three.
M Cafe Cuisine: Asian Fusion Ambiance/Atmosphere: Classy, but relaxed Dishes to try: I haven't eaten anything there that tasted bad, but just to play safe, order their longganisa sandwich or any pasta dish.

Location: It's the resto just outside Ayala Museum
Amici Cuisine: Italian, with Pinoy dishes Ambiance/Atmosphere: Carinderia with aircon Dishes to try: Quattro Formaggi (4 cheese) pizza; actually, any of their pizzas!

Location: Don Bosco Makati Complex, Pasay Rd
Sango Cuisine: Japanese-themed burgers (Yes, you read that right) Ambiance/Atmosphere: It feels like you're in Japan Dishes to try: Master Burger, their excellent fries
Dress code: Strictly bara-bara Price per person: P200 up
Location: The Gallery, Armosolo Ave, Makati City; and one in front of University of Asia & the Pacific, Pearl Drive, Ortigas Center
- it's a nice place owned by a couple (names i have forgotten) if you're more into a vegetarian and things like that. Occasionally, there are guitarists performing there (even bringing Cynthia Alexander). In line with restos' name, there's a small garden at the entrance.
- i'm browsing for vegetarian restos in metro manila via the internet (out of curiousity). I saw "Greens" came up and it's near our place

I'm into pizza lately. Where exactly is this place? I know where Don Bosco the school is; how close/far is Amici from there? Any landmarks? Thanks!
I agree... I want to visit the Sango restaurant.. The thing is though, one time, my officemates and I decided to order for delivery.. and.. I wasn't too impressed with the burger.. I guess eating at the restaurant would have made the experience better.
The owners are Spec Ed Grad students who were trained by Amici's original management
Long Island deserts

Well, Sango and Amici does not have vegetarian dishes, but M Cafe has.

NO MEAT?! man! even afghans eat chicken and fish =) hard to find pure veggie resto try BODHI. i beleive there are zero meat there...(hmm..maybe not..) but they use meat substitutes. my dad once brought me stuff from there. and i never spoke to him again.
if you want casual non-salad vegetable meals, try CIBO its italian! but a meal already cost a young goat in bocaue.
small servings, classy resto prices....pero parang yellow cab ang place..metal chairs, aluminum walls...they should have included the hands free faucet.
The Bubble Tea place in Megamall, ung malapit sa ice skating rink, katabi ng Bread Talk. Typical Japanese cafe themed restaurant, where you can order Japanese curry and omuraisu (their variation of the omelette, only this time they incorporated rice into it). Their bubble teas are delicious. Bubbles refer to the sago na nilalagay nila dun. I ordered the seafood curry nila. It's served with traditional Japanese curry+ assortment of seafood + sunny side up? XD My mom tried their spaghetti. Took a taste, it is slightly maasim parang real Italian spaghetti, pero trip ko ung pagka fine na tadtad ng giniling nila na ginamit dun. XD I haven't actually seen the entire menu, pero I'm planning to go back there to sample their omuraisu. Yum. XD
eastydie: try Greens, located at Scout Castor, it's a vegetarian restaurant.
I like their Tofu Kebab (two sticks) and your choice of rice (brown, red, java, plain) and Veggie Barbecue Wrap. Not to mention the cheesy soy sticks. More often during Tuesdays or Thursdays, there are guitarists performing. All of the orders i mentioned? Its P300.

ive been looking for a good curry place! ill go try it!
ang alam ko lang na may jap curry is rairaiken.
how do you pronounce CIBO anyway? as written? i think not
Curry Place? Try Penang Hill (Malay Food). There are branches in Greenhills Shopping Center and Shangri-La EDSA. It's a bit pricey but the portions are for two naman.
