according to urban legend, the archi of the new building deliberately made it that way because of the deaths of several filipino people during the WW2 inside the old building when it was bombed by jap forces

manila city hall was formed that way because of the wars, much like what geostat12 had said, death from spanish and japanese invasions,

more over, ganun talaga ung natatanging lupa ng city hall kya they make what is the optimized shae they can, ang sabi nga sakin dapat rectangle un, kaso dalawa ng nagdesign, isa ung sa harap isa ung sa likod kya aun.

There was actually an episode of the now departed Ngiinig where they featured ghost stories in Manila City Hall include that of a woman who was bludgeoned to death by her lover with a Judge's gavel

Interesting. If Manila is the Soul of the Philippines, and that soul is dead, that would be a nice place to bury it.
OH COME ON!

I've seen the Nginiig episode on Manila City Hall.

Makes me curious what used to be on the spot before City Hall was built.

Hopefully not a cementery
