i have watched the film...when i saw the film, i have a feeling that it will be a trilogy of sort or more...in fact, i even have the feeling that the movie came from a book...tama pala...
"oh, the river is wide, the river it touches my life...like the waves on the sand...and all roads lead to tranquillity base...where the frown on my face disappears..."

hahaha.. i'd say that the movie didn't give the book any justice and if you'd see the movie without reading the book you'd pretty much get lost because some scenes are cut up.. hehe.. it was dubbed "anti-religious" basically because the trilogy focuses mainly on Lord Asriel wanting to battle the ultimate being=God.. hahaha.. spoilers...

roachy: very true...masakit kasi sa ulo pag nilagay mo lahat ng galing sa book...although mas maganda kung para makita why this character is like that...

I liked the Golden Compass. You really have to read I don't have the inkling of what will happen next, unlike most of the books I read or movies I watched. Now reading The Subtle Knife (Book 2) and even borrowed The Spyglass (Book 3) of Philip Pullman's Dark Materials. I decided to read his other works after these 2 books because I liked his writing style.
