to each his own na lang.. pag ganun ung definition nila of music, then bahala sila.. as they say, passionate sila about dun. and i think it all started as that.. passion.. then nadiscover.. then contract.. then lawsuits.. so, they have to hasten music making to comply the contract.. and thus the suck-ing music is born.. ung cueshe, it is - or was or wahtever - a showband... before the spotlight and fame and all.. and during those days, they think they have to get a "good-looking" vocalist to attract customer, etc.. so they have that walang ginagawang bokalista.. and they have this showband aura because they are.. i dont personally like them at all.. d ko trip ung music nila..
ung callalily naman, aminin ko na rin na magana ung boses ng bokalista nila.. but i also dont like their music.. i find emo lyrics cheesy and less metaphoric kasi.. parang black is black, white is white.. but i respect the guy for quoting na, "if you dont like our music, make your own".. that says it all..
sana hindi ma over look na porke pogi, panget at ala ng talent.. kanya kanya yan at higit sa lahat, d nila kasalanan na mahal sila ng Diyos..also, keep in mind na meron lawsuits pressure sila.. and they are entitled to a lousy music dahil dun..
at ung proliferation ng music ay base lang sa lumalabas na banda.. ung mga bandang nadi-discover..it so happens lang na may trend at parang iisang genre ung nadidiscover ng mga producers.. dahil un ang patok sa market.. sa totoo lang, there are an ocean-wide of bands.. most are indie nga lang.. so sometimes never heard..
so parang , i say na walang proliferation of music.. there's a proliferation of market lang..

dahil nga malamang un ang 'IN' sa market.. music market that is.. kakaasar lang kung ung ang dahilan ng market na iyon ay dahil gwapo ung bokalista.. wag sana i-blame ang banda.. blame the market atsaka ang media? hehehe.. joke lang! without the media there would be a huge and bad fluctuation sa music industry!

Natutuwa ako at nagrereply kayo sa thread na sinimulan ko. Maraming salamat. <3

Like boy bands! Oh my, boy bands. Buti 'di nagtagal ang Westlife at iba pa. ;P
bugoytheman, ang Cakewalk ba ay software na panggawa ng music?
Megara, ang ayaw mo ba sa Cueshe ay ang halatang feeling sila sa mga kanta nila? Trying-hard accent, nasal vocals, wrong grammar (quote: "Truly, madly, crazy in love..." ay dapat "Truly, madly, crazily in love..."
Let boy bands die like boy bands.
Ano pala ang ibig sabihin ng "burned out"?

Cakewalk is a company based in Boston, Massachusetts that develops music software. Their best known product is the music sequencer SONAR, which is quite comprehensive and designed for use by professionals. SONAR incorporates multi-track recording and editing of both audio and MIDI. However, the company offers a full range of software products. --wikipedia

icqgirl: burned out is like this: you're working for a long time, then you just realized that you're tired doing these things, even the lightest of these activities.

People, just because the Pogi bands get the airplay doesn't mean they're winning. Remember, if you really want to support deserving bands, buy their albums. I do.
Fair enough. I happen to like some songs from Hale's first album, and I am a closet 6cyclemind fan (There! I said it!), but generally, I really don't see much complexity and depth with their music to hold my interest for too long.
umm what can i say.. take jay off cueshe.. I still dont like them.. there is no depth in their songs.. well that is very subjective but I am not into a debate..
Personally, it's just this. As musicians you need to focus on the music you make... secondary na lang ang image, money and other perks... The music is what makes the audience happy not your "pogi" image or whatsoever. I mean look at Sugarfree... There are a lot of bands that looks better thab them but compared to their musicality? Sugarfree could let them eat dirt. Personally, Musicians (rockers, rappers, jazzers, etc.) live for the music... Not the other way around... Again, this is my own opinion as a musician.
