The UP Repertory Company presents DAMAS DE NOCHE (a rock musical)

The UP Repertory Company is staging Joi Barrios' DAMAS DE NOCHE, a piece on the oppression of women through the decades. Originally a three-act play, it has since been turned into a Rock Musical, with music from the UP Underground Community.

There will be 7pm shows on September 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and there will be 3pm shows on September 3 and 9. The shows will be held at Aldaba Hall (Behind UP Theater) in UP Diliman.

ps: Yes, that's my name on the poster, but no, I really didn't direct anything here. I just did some blocking adjustments on some song numbers, and that's it. Nakakahiya.

coolness! I didn't know you were involved in this production. well, now I know.

How much are the tickets? I always see the posters but I never have the time to read for details.

Alam nyo po ba yung "shockvalue"? I'm thinking if I should watch it as well.

But students always gets discounts!

If outsiders and non-students were to buy, the price is almost always higher..

So B, wala bang free tickets dyan? I had a friend who's in production, and she would always invite us to watch for free. Kaso conflict lang sa schedule.

I've just watched the musicale.hanngang ngayon, hindi ko pa rin natatanggal sa utak ko ang salitang paulit-ulit nilang sinasabi.

it was nice. the music was great, the actresses were great, the lone actor was great. nakakatuwa sya, kaso lang pg-18 sya.

schoolmate ko yung one of the actresses, si Clara. my eyes popped when I saw her on stage. grabe...astiggers!

psychocow: it was nice to finally meet you and see you in the flesh! great play! looking forward to see you again at the komikon!

actually napansin ko nga na mayroong mga foul-ups, like forgotten lines, missed queus(tama ba spelling ko?), and such. pero ang pinaka napansin ko ay yung isang dancer sa 2nd act. muntik nang mahulog yung top niya. grabe! sobrang I was praying na hindi magslip yung nakabalot na tela sa katawan nya. eh ang dami pa namang steps na kailangang magtaas ng kamay. shucks talaga! nasa 2nd row pa naman ako.

right now may LSS ako dun sa song na, "paraiso, paraiso, palawan, palawan..." tapos hindi ko na alam ang kasunod. something like "hintayin mo ang aming pagdating"?but that isn't it. fill in the blank naman po!
