I used to have the set ... before our house got burnt to the ground .  At the moment I am saving up to buy the set again.

actually, narnia is a place, not a person.. it's a 7-book series, sorta like harry potter.. if you've heard of "the lion, the witch and the wardrobe".. that is one of the 7 books.. =)

Have you read all the books, Lei?  I have all seven books, except the second book has a few pages missing in the beginning.  That's why I was asking you if you've read it, kasi if you have, then it won't matter much, those missing pages. 

Also, my set may be different from the ones that are being sold today.  The order of the books, I mean.  Luma na yung set ko.  I don't remember now kung ano'ng ipinagkaiba nung order.  I think kasi C.S. Lewis first came out with a particular order, then a child wrote to him, saying dapat nauna yung isang book bago yung isang book (just re-read that last statement, it will make sense.  Of course, it will make more sense if I can supply titles.  Anyway...).  Tapos C.S. Lewis agreed, and he authorized the publishers to change the order of the books.  Kaya naman pala when I was trying to buy a replacement copy for the Book 6 yata I thought I lost, hindi kami magkatugma nung nagtitinda sa National.

Hindi naman linear ang pagkakasulat nung series talaga, so it's no biggie naman.

Somehow, I missed this post about you wanting to borrow the books.  I can lend you my set, aalagaan mo naman, di ba?  That is if you don't mind about the pagkakaiba ng order.

yey i finally bought myself a copy of chronicles of narnia.....i'm so excited to read it hehehe

meron po akong narnia kumpleto ko po... it's a nice saga. Tipong LotR na mas magaan... napanood ko na rin po yung play na "the lion, the witch and the wardrobe" na pinakita po sa meralco theater noon.. tapos ngayon magkakaroon na ng movie :)

pero sa totoo lang, meron na tlgang small-budget movie ng book na yun. I had the videotape, kaya lang feeling ko natapon ko na... It wasn't really good, it was okay.....

Narnia is a place.  Chronicles of Narnia is a series of stories set in Narnia, written by CS Lewis.  It's about 4 children who walk into a closet and find themselves in Narnia, where they have so many adventures.  7 books worth, hehe. Iba-ibang titles, iba-ibang adventures. 

You should read it. Children's Books siya pero ma-e-enjoy naman ng kahit anong age.

"The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" is one of the books in the series.

Seven. The Magician's Nephew, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Horse and His Boy, The Silver Chair, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Last Battle. Not in order, sorry.

Sabagay, may pagkakaiba naman ng order yan, eh. Originally, CS Lewis made it a certain order, tapos a child wrote him to say na dapat baligtarin nya ang order. CS Lewis agreed.

 

Sa National Bookstore.  Kaya lang parang mahal yung buong set.  Mga 1,700+ yata? Yung books ko pinahiram ko kay Lei.  Lalo na sigurong mahal sa mga Fully Booked and PowerBooks.

Maganda yung books na yun, you should read them nga.

It's Disney, the director did Shrek and some Batman (vfx), I think, plus favorite ko ang The Chronicles of Narnia, so it will be interesting talaga.  I'm always excited about movies based on novels -- you always want to check if they'll do well or if they mess it up.
