Reasons to go to the Komikon 2006

Here's the deal: the Komikon will be on Oct 21. Sembreak na namin. meaning walang pasok. which also means wala na akong allowance. Since my parents love too very much, they don't allow me to go anywhere w/o a legitimate reason.

but I want to go to the Komikon, esp since sa Bahay ng Alumni lang siya.

And since it's a comic-con, I seriously doubt if they'll consider that as a legitimate reason.

So please, help me think of reasons to convince my parents why I just HAVE to come (and to fund me adequately)! Pleeeease!

I'm thinking if they won't allow me to come, I'll go on a hunger strike. I shall not have even a crumb until they give in (or I drop dead)

But then again, it won't work since I don't eat anyway.

anywayz, ano ba course mo? sabihin mo na lang na isa itong get together sa mga students na kung saan makikita nila ang iba't ibang development sa social life and especially sa Filipino literature. Kapag umayaw sila, sabihin mo, minsan lang ito. Part ito ng college life. ang makakita ng mga activities sa college. kapag tinanong kung bakit sa sembreak, then sabihin mo para di makasagabal sa acads, para marami ang makapunta at ma-enjoy ang activity.


kapag ayaw pa ring umepekto, hmmm. go this way, make a saaaaad face pero obedient ka. then gawin mo lahat ng ipinag uutos nila. clean everything, maglaba ka kung kinakailangan. magluto, as in magpakamartir ka. make them feel guilty kung di ka nila papayagan. then

Or you can tell your mom and dad that you want to go to a comic convention in UP. What's the big deal?

IF that doesn't work, you can tell them about my family. My mom was so strict with all of us that we all snapped. All of us. Today, two of my sisters live abroad, the third one lives apart, and my brother was shipped to the Visayas because of his drug problem. And there is me.

Moral of my story: The tighter you hold on to somebody, the more they will want to get loose.

when i was in college, during sembreak or termbreak for us, I would always say gimiks as school related activity. as wing relayed that it should be related to an org activity or something like that.

I'm a freshie from UP and an applicant in two orgs. hopefully i'll be accepted as a member in both.

the prob is may sembreak camp sa isang org na inapplyan ko and I will most probably come (whether I like it or a like it). I'm praying na hindi nya masagasaan yung sched ng komikon.

hindi pa final kung saan at kailan yung camp. hindi pa nga sure kung maaaprove membership ko eh. pero pagnaaprove, sure na sure na sasama ako.

sobrang strict din parents ko...dagdag mo pa dyan auntie at uncle ko. wahahaha...strict na, conservative pa.


6 ang orgs ko ngayon so pag ala ako sa haus, alam naman nilang may gawain ako dun...pag gimik naman, sinasabi ko yung totoo...so anyway, pag may gimik, pa-good shot ka muna then kulitin mo ng kulitiin...a.k.a the pester factor. i suggest na mag-ipon ka ng money kasi since strict cla bka ndi ka bigyan ng funds...gawain ko yun...and it works.

I agree. Save up some money on your own. At least you won't have to ask for money.
You won't have to worry about spending for food there, beerkadets are always loaded.
Just ask permission to go.
Tell them that you were invited by the beerkadets to this activity.

If that happens, would like to see Giselle, please. It's been too long since she last made an appearance. If a supporting character like Jay can have his own storyline at Apple's mansion, why not Giselle?

Shirt and something for your bottom like a skirt, please. The people at the gate might not let you in if you wear only a Beerkada shirt.


As far as I know, there is no dress code for Komikon. But it isn't exactly clothing optional.
