the most unusual place that I've heard is- Hagdang Bato Mandaluyong City

This place is located on the uplands where steps are carved in its rocky hills and used as stairways.

That's nothing.  Have you been to Sexmoan, Pampanga?

It's pronounced Sis-mu-an, by the way.

Di ba, old towns were "renamed" by colonizers for several reasons. Ano kaya ang history ng Sexmoan?

I can tell you this much, the words "sex" and "moan" had nothing to do with it.  Must have been a happy accident.

Instead, I would wonder how foreigners would react if they saw this on the map.  "Oh, my stars and garters!"

Well, only in the Philippines can you find New York (Cubao), Washington (Makati), Japan (Fairview?), Mexico and Florida (Pampanga).  Very global.

I don't exactly think it's in Fairview mismo. I would assume it comes after Fairview or Lagro, but I'm guessing na. Basta, I've seen signboards that says "Japan". I could be wrong, though.

You might be referring Gapan (somewhere in Pampanga)biggrinweirdfaceidea

There's a place down south (an island maybe) called "Kalusuan". Well, the word 'luso' in the local dialect there refers to that male 'dangler'.

In Laguna, there's a hill called Susong Dalaga (Maiden's breast)

In Pasay, there's a place called Moonwalk

In Capitol Park Homes in QC there are streets like Moscow and Berlin

The town in Aklan were Cardinal Sin was born is called New Washington

The place I live in in QC is called Cubao which got the name from Spanish times because the veritable wasteland then was said to be the lair of Hunchback Witches (Kuba)

In the US, a major US Airforce base near Washington, DC is called Andrews AFB. Down inZamboanga, one of the most important bases of the Armed Forces of the Philippines is Andrews Air base, named after one of the PAF's first commanding Generals, Edwin Andrews who is not related to the one whom the Andrews AFB in the US is named after
