Beware the wary beerkadets. They will jump comics if you don't keep a firm grip... :D

naja: di ba na-tackle bawat semestre ng beerkada corresponding to a specific real-time period? susundin pa rin po ba yun timeline sa previous books? so we'll actually witness them grow old, or mag-stall??

they will grow old. some will even have kids.

cing's already mentioned this in a Comics thread (forgot which one)... noticed how mrL's character filled up a significant number of pages of the fifth book? stalling na po ba yun??


i initially put all the lyndon strips at the back of the book, but someone pointed out that this creates a denouement for the reading experience (alam na ng tao na patapos na ang libro pag nakarating na sila sa lyndon strips. letdown daw.) so i scattered the non-beerkada strips all across the pages,

or... Is there a possibility of a Lyndon comic book???

eerlenium, p38 & p50. aapat lang ang mga daliri sa kamay ng mga bkada characters, pero sampu naman sa paa (plus occasional limatik na pang 11th toe).

Why??

that's simply lazy cartooning. if you want excellent comic strips, stick to calvin and hobbes. oh, wait, i forgot: the wuss gave up cartooning.

BeerkaDos pp27-29 & TresKada. Environmental-friendly naman si Aling McBeal kasi she reuses Cartbucks expreso cups, reincarnates the pinaghugasan into free soup, recycles Jollibug styrofoams, etc. Yet she just throws away old bread na pwede pang gawing croutons.

Again, Why??

because cups do not cause food poisoning as much as moldy old bread. aling mcb ha s enough run-ins with the DOH to know its not worth offering old bread.

What do you think was the "tipping point", at least for the forum?

Let's assume that Beerkada -- the book, the "franchise", the forum, heck even the tagboard -- is in the "cult favorite" level (we discussed this before; you said it could be better, but let us lang assume).  What do you think was the "tipping point"?

How did you feel when you saw your first Beerkada strip published?  How did it compare to your feeling when you published your first ever strip (whatever that was -- what was it nga pala?)?How did you feel when the first Beerkada book came out?

What is your ultimate dream for Beerkada?

What will be your obra maestra?

What's your favorite color? What's your favorite food?  Do you like/have pets?

*These past months has been the highest level of activity the BEERKADA forums has ever experienced. Hoorah!

*The tipping point was a critical number of people participating; a true, self-sustaining community began to form. I suppose this occured when 10-20 people kept posting again and again weeks back. And the scoring system also helped: people wanted to reach BEERKADET status.

*The tipping point for BEERKADA as a cult experience was the formation of the BEERKADET community, particularly in the forum. People sharing ideas without prodding, desiring EBs by their own initiative. The BEERKADETS were always independent from BEERKADA; the stories in BEERKADA rarely formed a discussion point for the group.

*My BEERKADA experience has always occurred in the form of milestones, each unique and very pleasurable. The most recent one was my first random encounter with a BEERKADA-shirt wearing stranger. I guess when I come out with YIRBUK, which celebrates the college years of BEERKADA, I'll dig up documents which commemorate each milestone. And believe me, each milestone gives me a powerful drive to push for the next milestone.

*My ultimate dream for BEERKADA is to revive the comics industry in the country. It is my personal belief that the current way of doing comics in the country will never revive it (otherwise, it would have revived the industry by now already). Through BEERKADA, I'm experimenting in various ways to deliver the comics experience to the local readers.

*My obra maestra will occur after I realize several stories I have in concept right now. Perhaps it is the several stories I have right now: some artists have their best years in the same age I'm living through right now.

* My favorite color is green. My favorite food is spaghetti bolognese. I have no pets; I like dogs, though.
