We all notice that at one strip or another, there are some inconsistencies and/or typo errors.. to help Lyndon clean out his mess.. err.. i mean to improve on Beerkada.. i would like to request you guys to use this thread to post any 'errors' you may have seen in the book, from Beerlenium to Go Beerkada..


To make this easier to organize, please follow this format:


Topic: Beerkada Book <number> Error


Comment: Please indicate page number, (if any), strip number (1 being the strip at the topmost of the page), strip topic. Please also state whatever errors you have noticed. If you want to type out the dialogue, go ahead.


Please note that this thread is strictly an error log for the comics. I would be starting another thread where the errors can be discussed (or made fun of! ). I am telling you guys in advance, because I may have to delete unrelated post.. (sorry!) Of course, Lyndon may reply here to address the comedy of errors..

kasali ba dito ang wrong grammars? mehjo mahihirapan ata tayo.. kasi .. tagalog at english ang salita nang beerkada di ba? pero sige..

I need your help, please note of the following below:



Please note that this thread is strictly an error log for the comics. I would be starting another thread where the errors can be discussed (or made fun of! ). I am telling you guys in advance, because I may have to delete unrelated post.. (sorry!) Of course, Lyndon may reply here to address the comedy of errors..


Please repost your posts here in the other thread. I will be deleting these posts here (na hindi error log) by tomorrow. Sorry but i have to do this to keep this organized.

BEERKADA BOOK 1 ERROR

Page 54, Strip 1: Bryan Strada Runs for Rep.  The poster behind him in the first panel reads "BrIan Strada - an ok guy." With an I. Uh, I mean it looks like an I to me.  


Actually, if we're going to be really strict about it, MilleNNium is spelled with a double N.  Therefore Beerlennium dapat? (okay lang i-drop yung isang L kasi hindi maganda yung Beerll ) 


While we see quite a lot with the single N spelling (even some versions of Microsoft Word's spell check accept the single N), most dictionaries accept only the double N. 


Are we going to be strict about it?   To me, it's no biggie.

On one hand, improvement is a virtue.

On the other hand, any error reflects real life. UP Eng'g students are not known for their fluid english.

Hm, so tuloy pa ba ang Proofreading?  Not that I'm finding any more errors (not that I'm looking real hard, either). I mean gagawin pa ba ito?

thing is, di ko sure kung "error" ba talaga yung ilan or part ng dialogue, kasi walang kaso naman kung andun. like when bopey's mom confronted her bout alan. line niya was something like "I'm a woman anymore" with matching melodramatic iyak. that's okay; naka-add pa sa humor.

ayan, na-conscious na tuloy ako nung ini-scan ko ang bkada books 1-4 ko.  ito po ang ilan sa mga napansin ko:


Beerlenium, p38 & p50.  aapat lang ang mga daliri sa kamay ng mga bkada characters, pero sampu naman sa paa (plus occasional limatik na pang 11th toe).


BeerkaDos pp27-29 & TresKada.  Environmental-friendly naman si Aling McBeal kasi she reuses Cartbucks expreso cups, reincarnates the pinaghugasan into free soup, recycles Jollibug styrofoams, etc. Yet she just throws away old bread na pwede pang gawing croutons.


TresKada.  Dana shaving her legs:  Si Dana yun di ba, may bangs eh.  Anyway.. yung dad niya dun, kulot & maitim ang buhok tapos clean cut. Sa BeerKuwatro, puro puti na ang straight na buhok, tapos may beard na.


BeerKuwatro p18, Mom ni Boopey (yan FRAGGLE.. korek na ba espeleng?), curly grey hair complete with wrinkles pa sa face, but on & p37, she looks much younger with a different hairstyle. 


O baka nagpa-salon silang dalawa.


Beerlenium p22 & p57; Beerlenium p11 & BeerkaDos p6.  umuulit na jokes.  Meron pa yata sa Go-Bkada, pero nasa hiraman pa kasi yung copy ko.


BeerkaDos p50.  Alan: ... and traffic light failure cause massive-- causeD


BeerKuwatro p31.  paTricide = paRRicide


TresKada---  Freestyle strips: Glen: Will you like to go bowling?  WOULD ...


   ---Racquel strips.   floozie = floozY 


   ---Alan & BOOpey courtship.   mga tanong lang po. Ano kaya yung sinusulat ni boopey sa blackboard? Dipth..? Can't be dipHtheria nor dipHthong. Also, ba't naging vaLLentine dun sa ladies' room? unless may vallentine sa eng'g??


   ---Erap strips.  Alan: .. to be buried in full military honors.


   ---Busuanga or bust strips.   Jay: You hang on the rope...


   ---Busuanga..                    Harry: Isang linggong ako nagtiis...


   ---Busuanga pa rin (ba't naman kasi walang page # eh).    Bryan:  Must be consipation


   ---after Busuanga (hanapin niyo na nga lang).   TV voice over: Here's the latest results...


BeerKuwatro.   Dun sa G Congee saga.. (pp35-37) yung BurkHa, naging burka na lang.


   ---p38.   Dana: ...gagawin natin niyan ng paraan


   ---p38.  Kahit naka-sideview ang mga Bkada characters, wala pa rin silang mga ilong. Pero si Santa, meron.  iba na'ng matangos.


   ---p41.   Bryan: ... after a movie is released in relased around the states...  unless  process ito po?? confused po ako...


   ---p41.   Alan:  Dapat may menuNdo at kare-kare.

i thnk the 'i'm a woman anymore' is intentional, yun ang natutunan nya sa kolehiyo: ang baluktot na english.


i think what fraggle means is, na-typo error ka, from boopey, you wrote bopey.

ang galing ni naja.. this is the type i was looking for.


i know madami kasi typo errors ang beerkada.. hahahaha.. tska nagkakapalit palit ng pangalan.. LOL.


anyway, sana ma-korek na sa susunod na printing, pero eto ang comments ko:


-beerkada characters only have four fingers on each hand, ganito na dati, at hanggang dulo siguro


-not everyone has nose


-dipth stands for dipthong. i think, that's what i assumed. dipthong means  "In typesetting, two vowels which are joined to form a single character, also known as digraph. A special form of ligature. "


-parricide is the same as patricide, they are both accepted. same with floozie and floozy, slang naman kasi sya so anyform can be used, or distorted


-uncharacteristic nga of aling mcbeal to do that, pero who knows what's going on in her head? ung dugo nga ng tree of d damned ginamit nyang fud.. i think ang concepts nga lang ng 'fine dining food like croutons' is very limited.. hehehe..


iyon, ano pang errors? keep postin!
