Ung kaguluhan sa Mindanao by golly wow...X_____x;; maawa naman sila sa mga tao dun...peace solutions are good and all, but really, something must be wrong kapag in teh middle of a supposed agreement biglang magkakagulo mga MILF sa Mindanao. What gives? @.@;;
"oh, the river is wide, the river it touches my life...like the waves on the sand...and all roads lead to tranquillity base...where the frown on my face disappears..."
The whole cause of the war is political in nature. The Moro Islamic Liberation Front wants land of their own without Manila bugging them.
Sadly, their interests aren't in common for the rest of thsoe who live in Mindanao be it Muslims, Lumads or Christians. Everyone else just wants a better quality of life and not a bunch of extremists who are harsher in ruling them than those in Manila who are secular on paper and predominantly Catholic in upbringing.

With the US almost in the picture and GMA actually thinking of using Tony BLAIR to do the peace talks in Mindanao...ewan ko na lang....@.@;;
A lot of people in Mindanao actually don't like the idea of another autonomous region, they do really want simple peaceful lives na di nagugulo ng war.
i hate it that every 730 am, the announcer would say: let's now listen to senator loren legarda etc etc.. then loren would do a monologue on the latest news/happenings sa pinas.. i mean is she a radio announcer din? why does she have that? it's obviously a propaganda to campaign early on before the allotted campaign period.. im not voting for her.. for any position .. ever
Every 730, (when Joe Taruc is just starting to introduce HER), i immediately switch to Mellow 947. We still need to listen to AM news kasi e.. I'll try DZMM..
Kabaliktaran naman, I am not protesting against BF and the bayani stickers.. even though some people say it's his form of 'campaigning'.. it's not as if he required the people to stick it (right?) a sticker is a sticker showing a person's support.. if it was forced though.. that's a different story altogether.
even if BF ran for a position in the govt, i would gladly support him.. i believe that his transformation of Marikina City can be carried over to transform our whole country. Though I think it would be better if he stayed on first with MMDA. there is still a lot MMDA has to do.
Di ba dati journalist si Loren Legarda? Masyado ata dinibdib pagkatalo nya sa last election eh so... just ignore her na lang. Or try listening to DZBB *halatang maka GMA 7*. The radio journalist they have in the afternoon during weekdays, mala Conrado de Quiros mga panama nun, ehehe. Sa RJ fm station...grabe,, well, I have nothing against saying na pagbigyan this official and that, na me kamalian nga sya o ganun, pero sabihin na lang siguro in a more sublime/inconspicuous way, di ung lantaran talaga na ganun...
Ayoko iboto si BF because...well, sabihin nga natin well-meaning ung ginagawa nya sa mga street vendor at squatters...OK sana kung me pamalit sila ng mga paninda na sinira forcefully or merun na relocation or perang pabalik sa provinces ng mga na demolish ung bahay. Kasi lumalabas sa mga raids na ganun...since di naman sa kanila ung mga kabuhayan o bahay na sinisira and at the same time they think they're on the side of the law, ala sila pakialam sa mangyayari after what they did. If he wants to court the masa, that's not a good sign. The BF posters are somehow scarier than the stickers. Also, ung mga nilalagay ni BF sa roads, more often than not, un lagi nakakagawa ng aksidente sa mga driver, mapa di senglot o senglot sa alcohol.
I am not saying pro-squatting ako, pero at least naman bigyan ng decency na bigyan sila malilipatan or pera pabalik provinces na pinanggalingan nila. Di excuse na alang pera etc. The problem kasi kaya dami sumisiksik sa Manila is because super concentrated na rin lahat dito ung mga government institutions, at halos lahat ng important businesses. If it was done in a way na ung mga un distributed, I am pretty sure lessen na ung problema natin sa mga squatters. Kung tutuusin mas masarap pa nga mabuhay sa probinsya, the life is kinda slow there but at least they can actually survive even on the smallest things.
comment on sqatting.. the govt (however inept they are in most instances) have housing projects for those people..
Ah yes, professional squatting. It happens a lot. I also don't like them going into private property tapos aangkinin nila lahat un, kasi naman daw ala nag mamay-ari. Ung evict sa mga tahanan nila, if we were in their place siguro, baka galit nga din mararamdaman natin. Closed lahat opportunities nila sa Manila, so they have to actually try to find other ways to survive. Ang dinadamdam ko rin lang kasi, why do they always say that, samantalang sa province nga ang dami pwede gawin dun, di pa congested tapos ung mga anak nila hindi mapupwersa maghanap buhay sa streets. But then again, at some point di natin sila masisisi. But still, it's not yet enough pa ata.
I've been to Marikina, and I can say that yes, BF did a really good job there. I think all his plans are OK. Also it's a sad fact - if a politician would want to win in a Philippine election, he has to woo the masses, kasi sila ung mas nakakarami, idagdag pa ung mga religious congregations na yan who holds sway over battalions of voters. Also the Marikina we have now comes with a price - super taas ng taxes dun to maintain everything. It's a good job of doing it, but then I wonder why there are random stoplights in even the most obscure of streets na di naman national highway or something. @.@;; I understand kaskasero mga ibang driver dun (remembers the ominously named street called Paliparan somewhere after Concepcion Market - actually there's an air base near there daw, pero talaga namang nagliliparan mga katok dun on a not so busy weekday), pero naman parang after every 2 kanto me stoplight...
Also, I DID not like what he did sa Manila...or ung sa E. Rodriguez, ung papuntang Espana. PINK lines?? Parang...wow. It's actually an eyesore for me, ewan ko lang sa iba. Then ung pagbibigay nya ng deodorant sa mga mamang driver...erm...well meaning pero it's in a very insulting way. I mean, they really should mind their hygiene, pero insultong malupit ginawa nya dun.
While I admire BF's political will, I cannot reconcile with his sense of aesthetics and what seems to be eccentirc and shameless self-promotion.
Imelda Marcos and her late Husband may left the Palace with a rep for grand-scale corruption, however, I have to respect her sense of style looking at the CCP or the PICC. She employed architects like Leandro Locsin and many others in her quest to beautify the Metropolis as part of her crusade to bring out the True, the Good and the Beautiful.
Unfortunately, Bayani's iconoclastic sense of style known for loud and clashing colors may not be comaptible to the tastes and senses of style of other people.
I've seen this before in Marikina were BF used to be mayor and this leads me to believe its way of marking territory the way a dog pees on trees and hydrants to mark theirs.
From a political standpoint, the way Bayani paints Metro Manila, he is color it to make it look like his city, his empire and naturally, the egos of many Metro municipal and city mayors take offense especially those from the Opposition like JV Ejercito of the Kingdom of San Juan or Jojo Binay of the Empire of Makati.
This is seems to be his means of self-promotion among those living here as the colorscheme (Blue and Pink) seems to wreak of BF.
He is probably using this to build name recall which is very important to secure a win in the elections.

A lot of other politicos are using the BF bandwagon, ung using their initials na rin. Of course maaalala nga ng tao ung unang gumamit ito and that's BF.
On a side note di ba ung politicians di pwede mag handle ng ibang private busienss habang nakaupo sila sa pwesto? BF is violating it very blatantly as well, lahat tuloy ng mga major gawaan siguro sa kanya napupunta lahat ung contracts...SM Marikina was built using his construction company if you want to know.
Speaking of BF and MMDA.....i really hate the slogan Metro Gwapo with BF pic attached to it,sounds like Metro Ogag.Ever been to Iloilo lately?I've been there several times and their local GMA news is hilarious.Their male anchorperson sounds like Mike Enriquez but looks like Allan K.Wahahaha.....

Since we are on the subject of Bayani Fernando, what do you think of his singing? We all know he is a contestant on Celebrity Duets and formed a group of 3 tenors along with Sec Angelo Reyes and former Sec Joey Lina.

Tenors?!Whatd'ya mean tenors?Not close enough.They're baritones and dragging themselves into the shadows of the three world-class professionals.BF has a good chance of winning Celebrity Duets since Marikina is his territory.......and one of the reasons why i stopped watching television except the news reports.

In a country where quality basic education is a privilege of a few and not a right, name recall has become a more important factor in winning elections than his/her actual platform.
Add to that there is no limit to which medium where politicians can place political ads.
Politicians, in effect, have become commodities pitched on TV like skin care products and dietary supplements.
While recall does matter, it's not enough. Case in point would be former Cong Prospero Pichay who spent billions in advertisements and gimmickry but was still unable to bag a seat in the Senate
