PROLOGUE:

Anyway before that, the main character, Setsuna F. Seiei was a child soldier in his war torn country called Krugis. Masyado heavy ung atake ng series na un sa Middle East at ung me pagkafanaticism ng freedom fighters un minsan. In Setsuna's case, he was taught, along with othe rchild soldiers in their group, that foreign presence in their country is an affront to their scared land and their God, kaya ganun na lang galit ng mga child soldiers na un sa foreign elements. But Setsuna kept telling himself that there is no God daw, kasi lahat ng mga kaibigan nya namatay ganun sa gyera na un. But then O Gundam descended from the sky and wiped out the enemies who were about to kill Setsuna. Nakita nya descend ung O Gundam from the sky with seeming "wings" about him. O Gundam looks like RX 78, so, hence, it was called as RX 78 Mk II lol. XD

PRESENT TIME:

In the present time, there was no need for oil na kasi nun...obsolete na ung use ng fossil oil, so ung Middle East countries na dependent sa oil, they were thrown into economic crises. The world was divided into 3 blocs: ung AEU, ung Union at ung HRL. AEU is more like the Western side of the Earth ata, Union dun kasali ung America, then HRL ung major player dito ung China. Each of the blocs ata were the ones responsible for the orbital elevators, un ung makikita mong parang elevators or stilts sa earth na naka stick out, which in turn supports their quest for gathering solar energy. Solar energy is the main source of power nung mga time na un. Anyway, the AEU was doing exercises with their newest Mobile Suit called the Enact. Union Ace Graham Acre and his partner in crime Billy Katagiri were there to watch. When suddenly out of the sky a new MS descended and joined the Enact. Akala ni Graham bagong variant un ng MS ng AEU but they noticed something was wrong nung nagkakagulo na nanunuod dun sa Enact. Graham then used a pair of binoculars (or was it Billy?) then saw the word "GUNDAM" sa suit. It turns out that this Gundam, the Exia, was piloted by none other than Setsuna himself, who then proceeds to his mission by mangling the Enact, and it was the start of Patrick Colasour's (the pilot of the Enact) many Orange-kun troubles (see Code Geass). XD

Exia proceeds with its mission. After mangling the Enact, the Gundam flies off, to the amazement of both Graham and Billy who can't see anything that the Gundam could've used for propulsion. Also, when the Exia arrived, ung mga tao nalaman nila ung mga cellphone nila or other types of radio communicators cannot work sa vicinity. Napansin lang nila Graham ung sparkly dust sa likod ng parang generator ni Exia. The AEU Enact squadron then tries to chase after the Exia, wherein one of them got shot by the Gundam Dynames. The Dynames was the Exia's partner, and was piloted by Lockon Stratos and his companion Haro. In space, Wang Ryuumin (apparently an actress of some sort) receives intel that the Meisters have advanced with their plan. Several terrorists tried to bomb the orbital elevator they were in but were stopped by Gundam Kyrios, piloted by Allelujah Haptism, and Gudnam Virtue, piloted by Tieria Erde. After the day was over, an international broadcast was shown to the world, that showing Aeolia Scheonberg, who declares himself to be the mastermind of the show of Gundams and the leader of the Celestial Being, to which the Gundams and Meisters belonged to. He declares the start of the armed intervention against war, to which Graham laughed off because he thought it was contradictory and at the same time kinda stupid in a way.

PLOT:

The Celestial Being, true to their word, launched their counter armed interventions against people who want war to happen. The series director Mizushima should be credited for the "realistic" portrayal of the world sa Gundam 00 - everything such as the Tamil conflict ba un down to the parallel portrayal of the Middle East sa anime na ito was well thought out. the Celestial Being's mission which was to end all wars with armed intervention was always put into focus again and again, and it is shown that even the Meisters kinda know that they are just being led around by the will of Veda. It just seemed that their mission was to ignite war in the peaceful world they have then, succeeding as they were to unite the whole world against them gradually. Along the way, as the Meisters successfully get the entire world to go against them, they find out gradually that they were just pieces in Veda's plan, in which Veda had seemingly turned against them. They succedded, only to find out that there was another faction within Celestial Being who wanted other means to bring about the change in the world through more violent non-orthodox means, and that the original members of the Celestial Being we were shown to didn't like that one bit, and so they tried to stop them. A lot of sacrifices had to be made (and there were a lot of body bags that were to be accounted for along the way), which shattered their beliefs that they were part of Celestial Being - what were they called for to do anyway? The first season ends with getting the almost the entire original cast "destroyed" and ends with the note that "rebirth begins through destruction". The 2nd season is slated for October this year and is set 4 years into the future.

***Setsuna's intention to become a Gundam has been a running joke of this series, alongside Patrick's being an Orange kun and being compared to Team Rocket at times. Setsuna's intention to become a Gundam was mainly because he wanted to be the one who could save the world llike the O Gundam saved him back then, so events when he says that "I cannot be Gundam" should always be thought alongside this kind of thinking.

Civilians/Kingdom of Azadistan

As the Middle East was in the middle of the oil crisis, a Princess from Azadistan named Marina Ishmail was made to "beg" for help sa mga countries who could help them get connected to solar power. She was the Relena Peacecraft of the Gundam 00 world - naive, pacifist, but little else. Her adviser, Shirin, acts like the Dorothy Catalonia of Gundam 00 - shrewd, had a lot of political insight better than Marina, and seems to have an agenda of her own. The obligatory civilian character in the anime Saji Crossroad and his girlfriend Louise Halevy could be taken as the comic relief of the show, but Saji's destiny was intertwined with Setsuna's when Setsuna lived right next door to him in Japan. Saji was the younger brother of Kinue Crossroad, who was a reporter, and believed that the Celestial Being's work is something more than what they say. She was also suspicious of Aeolia Scheonberg, who had died 200 years prior to the said broadcast.

The Celestial Being

The Gundams' home base is the Ptolemaios or Ptolemy, which like the Gundams could harness the use of GN Drives. The GN Drives are the generators that emit sparkly stuff sa likod ng Exia at sa mga "kapatid" nito. The GN Drives could be used for a variety of uses - the GN particles it emits could be harnessed to become weapons, mode of energy, force fields - and it is a limitless supply of energy for the Gundams. The Ptolemaios consists of their head/tactical forecaster named Sumeragi Lee Noriega, and the bridge bunnies Feldt Grace, Christina Sierra, and the 2 guys with them. One cannot simply count themselves in as members of Celestial Being - this is especially more so if a person would like to become a Meister. Apparently Celestial Being's membership is approved by Veda, which is the supercomputer of the group, and the supercomputer they use mostly for their mission guides, or the one which Sumeragi uses in order to make her predictions of what the outcome would be (think Sumeragi's job as akin to Mathieu Silverberg and Shu's roles inthe Suikoden series). Veda chooses the members of Celestial Being through some weird set of qualifications. Tieria also seems to hold some connection with Veda, which is further delved into as the series progresses.

Known Supporters:

Wang Ryuumin is an actress/idol who seems to know a lot about Celestial Being works and is a valuable asset to the Celestial Being, mainly because of her assets (worldwide spy network) and finances. Alejandro Corner is a UN man with a mysterious agenda, but he seems working for the good of the Celestial Being for now. Livonze Almack, fondly called as "Ribbons" by the /m/ community in 4chan, is voiced by none other than the legendary Toru Furuya = Amuro Rei, which leads to speculations that he could BE the pilot of RX 78 Mk II. lol. Livonze acts as an assistant to Alejandro.

Meisters

Setsuna F. Seiei - as with some Meisters in the team, his name is a codename - his real name is Soran Ibrahim. He is the typical Heero Yuy of the team - quiet, a man of few words, and doesn't seem to get along with the other Mesiters except for Lockon. His appointment as the Exia Meister leaves Tieria and Allelujah surprised. His repetitive intonations of  "I am Gundam" serve as a running gag of the series, especially to 4koma and fanartists lol. He is to be involved with Marina Ishmail, but whether romantic or otherwise, it still isn't clearly shown as of yet. 16 years old.

Lockon Stratos - real name Neil Dylandy. He is the marksman/sniper of the group, and pilot of the Gundam Dynames. He is also the appointed leader of the Meisters. Nice, friendly to all ladies (as he says), and generally acts as the big brother of the group. He is very supportive of all his teammates and act as their adviser sometimes. Prior to joining the Celestial Being, he was involved in a black market/terrorist group. He joined the Celestial Being in order to avenge the death of his parents and his younger sister, who died of a terrorist bombing when he was 10 years old. His companion, Haro, is the "big brother" Haro to the other Haros in the Ptolemy. Has a twin brother named Lyle. Also, he's Irish. XD 24 years old.

Allelujah Haptism - this might be his real name. He is the destined pilot of Gundam Kyrios. Quiet, calm, he is generally cool headed and even temopered all the time and subject to Sumeragi's teasing with alcoholic drinks - another favorite subject of fanartists lol. But when he's exposed to Soma Peiries, he snaps and becomes the sadistic Hallelujah. He seems to show some kind of NT abilities like Soma. 19 who became 20 years old in the course of the series.

Tieria Erde - the mysterious pilot of Gundam Virtue. Lovingly called as "Vowels" by the 4chan /m/ community because of excessive vowels in his name, he comes off as arrogant and cold to the rest of the Meister cast. He seems to idolize Veda a lot, which he took very personally when the Gundam Nadleeh (underneath Virtue) was exposed to the enemy. Turns out that he is a clone/android/cyborg carrying a huge percentage of Aeolia's daughter's DNA so he looks very feminine. His trademark signature move with the Nadleeh is the Judgment System, a trait which he also seemingly shares with Livonze. Age = ???

AEU

They act as the rich kid out of the blocs which make up the power of the Earth sphere. They simply believed that by getting the best mercenaries and developing the best patterned MS (the Enact was modeled after the Union's Flags) by their money, they would be able to defeat the Celestial Being. Noteworthy people of this group include Patrick Colasour, the Orange-kun and ladies' man of the series, and Ali Al Saachez, a bad mercenary who holds a vital key to Setsuna's past. The AEU is led by a group of people who sit around in a boardroom of some sort.

Union

They seem to act as the most powerful bloc of the 3 - not only because of the money, but also because of the aces (as in Graham - you will know why when you watch the series). The Union was the first to conclude that the Gundams could be used to their own advantage (because of Graham) and employed aces to try getting Gundams like Pokemon. Noteworthy people of note include Graham Aker, Billy Katagiri, and Leif Eifman, who appears to be the mentor of Billy and Sumeragi's in college. They are led by a Caucasian president.

HRL

Unlike the 2 blocs, the HRL simply banks on its scientific experiments to bolster their capabilities of keeping up with the Celestial Being through the creation of the Super human/designer baby project (kinda like CPUs or artificial NTs). They are not without worthy aces of course, and they happen to be my most fave bloc alongside the Union because of their aces. Noteworthy people include Sergei Smirnov, the legendary Wild Bear of Russia, and his faithful companion Soma Peiries, the only girl pilot I liked who piloted an all-pink MS (Meer's concert version ZAKU does NOT count). Soma seems to share a link with Allelujah, which causes her to have a scary kind of NT "soulmate" projection that makes her go berserk, and to which Allelujah loves to play with great effect - as he is now known as his evil Gollum-esque alter ego Hallelujah. They seem to be led by a Chinese president.

Celestial Being?

Another group appears with a batch of new Gundams near the end of the 1st season. Named the Trinity siblings, they were a little more mental than the Meisters we were introduced to, and their plans of armed intervention are a little more...violent than what they do. Their Gundams sport GN Drive Taus - they emit red sparkly light, and seemingly more powerful than the GN Drives that our hero Meisters use. But there is one catch - the GN Tau Drives have a limited operation, and are harmful to pilots health because tehy lack one distinctive feature that real GN Drives have - a blanket that seems to shield pilots from radiation. Unprotected GN Drives could also lead to non-regeneration of limbs exposed to it - stem cells could do nothing if exposed to them, in the case of a person whose arms get sliced or something by it. Also, real GN Drives possess the power to Transam - akin to G Gundam's Hyper/God Mode, but only for a limited period of time. The Trinity include Johan Trinity, pilot of Gundam Throne Eins, Michael Trinity, the pilot of Gundam Throne  Zwei, and Neena Trinity, pilot of Gundam Throne Drei. Neena also holds the Evil Haro, which seemed to be central to the Jupiter incident 80 years ago that stole the GN Drive design from a Celestial Being base.
