For most people, Holy Week is that one big chance to take those long needed vacations. Not for me. Ever since, we've stayed in Manila and did the whole Holy Week routine. I'll credit my Mom for this, although in fairness, I'll probably continue the tradition.
So, what does Holy Week have in store for me?
Jesus Christ Superstar, playing endlessly on our DVD player
Visita Iglesia, on the seven churches within a 10 km radius from our house
Seven last words, over at ABS-CBN
Behaving up to Friday 3pm, then reverting back to normal kasi patay na si Hesus
Mind-wracking silence
Talking to my mom to kill the silence
Spring cleaning (maski walang Spring sa Pinas)
Internet (Sorry, tao lang)
And the best of all... My annual Black Saturday photo op! Manila, all to myself! No traffic, no people! Bwahahahahaha!
In my case, it's sleeping all day and working all night.
American businesses unless the owners and happen to be devoutly catholic, we still have to make calls.
Other than fulfilling most of my religious obligations like attending the Mass of the Last Supper, I guess like you, I have my Mom and PC (strictly no NSFW stuff) to keep me company.
Monday: Running errands, WoW, Internet, Finishing first page of comic, finishing 4th main character sheet
Tuesday-Thursday: WoW, Internet, Finishing first page of comic, probably go to confession somewhere in between
Friday- Sunday: WoW, Internet, Mass, Work with insufferable pr*ck, Abstain or Fast (Friday Only), Get drunk (Sunday). Possibly go to the Royal Easter Show.
Pag ganitong walang pasok.. I usually sleep all day long lang.. Then movie marathon at nights.. Tahimik at malamig kasi pag gabi.. Mainit naman masyado pag sa umaga..
Commuting is going to be such a hassle.. I saw an MRT announcement that they won't be operating from this Thursday, April 5 to Sunday, April 8.
"oh, the river is wide, the river it touches my life...like the waves on the sand...and all roads lead to tranquillity base...where the frown on my face disappears..."
---------------------------------- Technically, I'm in the suburbs & not in the metro itself. I've been cooped up inside the house for days now. The only times I went out were when I used up my internet load and when I replenished my food supply.
I'm being lazy, lazy, lazy. If I'm not surfing the net, I'm either watching tv or making my projects. Haven't opened my notebook & manual to review nor make my assignments. I'm procrastinating; will open those on Sunday.

Just finished my Lenten Tradition of Visita Iglesia. I really enjoy going around the Metro these days as there is no traffic the only downside? No shops to visit.

That's what cameras are for. Just finished a photo spree in manila. There's just something about the city of Manila that's so... manila.
But I did miss the bustling streets when I went there this morning. It was so strange

I just woke up. I decided to work overtime. I'm sure everyone in this forum who is part of the workforce knows that in a regular holiday like Good Friday the pay is double and so is the overtime pay

@ Tora, I know what you mean. Unlike some accounts wherein if it's a holiday there is no work. (American Holidays nga lang) Anyway, double pay for April 8 and 9.

I agree. The only holidays we have are those celebrated by the US (they have fewerholidays since they are predominantly raised Protestant and follow the infamous Protestant work ethic)
Oh well.. I just hope my OT request was approved on MyPayroll
