Got this game from another forum:


I think you know this game, but i don't know how you name it.
You have to discover a word, or a phrase. For that you choose a letter, if the letter is in the word, its position is shown, if not, you're one step closer to be hanged.
Usually, we do a little drawing with someone hanged, and each time you fail, we add a line to the drawing. You need 10 lines to do the drawing. It's impossible here, so instead, we'll just put a number as we go along, showing that you're closer to the death ^^.


We'll also put categories to make the guessing easier: People, Place, Event, Movie, Action, (anything else I missed?)


The one who correctly guesses will give the next word/phrase.

Just in case of, an example:

the word: _._._._._

the player: A
me: there is no A. 1/10
the player: E
me: _.E._._._
the player: B
me: no B. 2/10
the player: L
me: _.E.L.L._
the player: O
me: _.E.L.L.O
the player: HELLO!
me: correct. you win. It's your turn.

Dictionary, google or every site like that aren't allowed.

For everyone's benefit, here are the rules again. Please through carefully. Thanks! :)


1. Choose an english word or phrase.


2. State only one category: People, Place, Object, Animal, Event, Movie, Living Thing, Non-Living Thing


3. There will be 10 chances to guess the word. Every incorrect guess of a letter will cost a point. Every incorrect guess of the word will also cost a point. One guess per post. No editing of posts. After 3 consecutive guesses (wherein the questionner hasn't confirmed yet whether the guess is right or wrong), stop guessing until the questionner answers. Questionner must put the correct letters in the correct places. He/she must put which letters are wrong, and indicate how many chances are left.


4. The questionner must check the forums for the guesses as often as he/she can in order to reveal if the guess is right or wrong. The person who guesses the word correctly is the next questionner. A person can guess as many letters as he/she wants, but can only guess at the word ONCE.


5. First beerkadet to reach 100 points gets a (surprise) prize. Scores will be reset once a person reaches 100 points. Let's make this a fast paced game.

tenkouken: you can keep guessing letters up to three kahit hindi ko pa na-confirm kung meron o wala yung letter. so for example, lorie guessed a letter, then you can guess a second letter, then fraggle can guess a third letter.. after that, no more guessing muna, wait for me to confirm. tapos, anyone can always guess the word at anytime.

please also take note that no new games can be posted as of yet without my approval, pilandok: i had to delete your post because you did not read the rules of this sub forum.

yup! Pwede mag-guess agad. Basta per post, is either a guess at the word, or a guess at the letter. take note pala na BAWAL mag-edit ng post dito ha. :D


you have a point, should we make it a rule na kapag nagbigay ng guess for the word, tapos mali, bawal na manghula ng word uli? parang once ka lang pwede magbigay ng guess for the word. pero you can still guess on the letters?

I vote for you may guess the letters several times, but a guess at the word only once.


When that happens, the person who posted a word but is wrong no longer gets the win. Think it's alright if the 'contestant' continues to guess the letters.


Just wanted to give my
