Did anyone read that online article about the how the filmfest sucks these days?

To me, the 2004 filmfest is a lot like the 2004 presidential elections.

It's not about quality, its about getting people interested.

So, which MMFF entries did you watch? Which do you recommend?

kung titignan mabuti, mas maganda pa yung mga indie films compared to filipino mainstream movies... for me, that is

check out the sig ! wala lang

i've read that email.. i agree with some of the points raised, but not all.. i think that the mmff is one of the challenges for moviemakers to improve on their craft.. most of the time, most of the entries are 'worthy' but yun nga lang, minsan di mo alam kung paano nasali hay..

as much as possible, i try to watch the 'good ones' for me.. last year, i watched mano po 2, crying ladies, filipinas.. year before that, i watched dekada '70 (tama ba na mmff ito?)

i agree din na madami short films, indie at documentaries.. these are the ones that get nominated (and win) in film fests and competitions the world over..

for this year, ewan ko ba.. hmm.. letsee.. i wanna watch aishete masu (tama ba??) because of its historical treatment.. *boink* aray! o sige na nga, i wanna watch because of dennis trillo na din.. hehe.. (andun din sya sa mano po 3!!! )

but for some reason, my family and i watched lastikman last monday.. uhh.. im sure the newly released comicbook a few weeks ago is a lot better than the movie.. (im so sorry direct mac).. but if you really really really want to watch lastikman.. uhh.. look for me.. hehe.. a friend of mine asked me to join their pool of 'talents' for lastikman.. talents a.k.a. extra.. hehe..

for me hindi naman kasi kailangan ng filmfest to produce quality movies e... nagkataon lang na ngayong year sucky ang mga pinoy movies... last year ang mga ok na movies...

i won't be able to recommend any mmff movie since i'm not planning to watch any of those films.

I'd rather watch spongebob.

or i'd wait for it on cinemaone.

uy mukhang ok spirit of the glass... tsaka sigaw... so original. =)

dennis trillo won best supporting actor for his role in aishiete imasu(still dunno the proper way to spell this).. first movie nya ito..
