Is MULAWIN a benefit or bane to local TV?

I say yes. It's refreshingly different from ordinary non-costumed tv shows.

Yes it's a benefit or yes it's a bane.

I'd say it's a boon kasi friend ko yung isa sa mga writers e.

id say its good for the local tv because its a sign that they can still offer something new, and interesting.. its very refreshing..  it also means na hindi pa laos at olats ang industry.. they should continue experimenting and offering new stuff.. yung locally made.. our tv industry has been saturated as of late by tsinovelas.. its time they show something we can call ours..

may i also say, that i love their costumes.. and their effects.. its really a small breakthrough..

Remember that Celebrity Deathmatch episode where Ron Jeremy and Tommy Lee wore chicken costumes and got into a cockfight?

Mulawin reminds me of that. la lang.

Speaking of new ideas, mr.

Yes, it is. I like that GMA is willing to take risks but on the downside this is all due to competing with ABS CBN's Marina & for ratings. I mean, GMA & ABS are in it to produce quality shows that cater to the greatest audience & you can't deny the fact that the C-D brackett is the most influential & both studios are aware of this fact, hence the production of such shows like Victim, Born Diva, Starstruck, SCQ, Joyride & so on & so forth, just to cater to this market. It makes perfect business sense, di ba? Well?

I say masmaganda yung bago MariLawin ni Michael V. Astig. May serena ka na, may mulawin ka pa!

it's still the same old, same old. The very basic principle of good versus evil. In my humble opinion, there's a possibility that it will pick up as a trend that again, will flood local tv, a time may come that every channel you turn to will have that kind of show on it. A nasty future, isn't it?

yes, GMA is already holding auditions for DARNA. aspiring actresses are: nancy castilliogne (tama ba?), diana zubiri, chyna ortaleza.. comment lang, nancy speaks with a slang, diana's boobs are too big (she's afraid they'll pop out coz the costume is a tube) while chyna, i think, doesnt have enough..

I think that as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, and it basically makes good business for the industry, why stop Mulawin? Besides, it's fun to have a "Marina meets Mulawin" booth at your fair.
